Invest Buffalo Niagara

Throughout the summer and fall of 2019, I was a Graphic Design Intern and Freelance Photographer at Invest Buffalo Niagara, an economic development group in Buffalo, NY. Working with both Invest Buffalo Niagara and its partner company, Buffalo Niagara Partnership, I designed print and digital material to promote various company events including posters, postcards, annual reports, email advertisements, and social media graphics. Additionally, I assisted in the development of two company publications and organized photoshoots for a talent attraction campaign.

Buffalo Niagara Economic Guide
In addition to my print collateral for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, I also assisted Invest Buffalo Niagara on the creation of two full-length publications: their Buffalo Niagara Economic Guide and Buffalo Niagara Relocation Guide. For the Buffalo Niagara Economic Guide, I was enlisted to design the introductory spread as well as templates for each section within the guide. Additionally, I assisted with general layout and content input.
Buffalo Niagara Relocation Guide
For the Buffalo Niagara Relocation Guide, I once again designed templates for each section within the guide. This project utilized the newly developed branding for Invest Buffalo Niagara's talent attraction campaign, Be In Buffalo, which consisted of bright, bold colors paired with square motifs taken from the campaign's logo. In addition to the guide, I was also given the opportunity to design banner stands for the campaign kickoff event as well as photograph the faces of the campaign–various Buffalo natives and Buffalo newcomers–in order to tell their stories visually.
