Universal Orlando Team Member Communications
Personal Project

While working as an Attractions Team Member at Universal Orlando Resort, I became increasingly interested in the visual identity and user experience of the internal Team Member communication platforms. As a personal design challenge, I explored how the existing guest-facing Universal Orlando brand could extend more cohesively into the employee-facing communication experience.
The project included conceptual rebrands for several internal platforms, including:
UOTeam — Team Member resources website
AskHR — Team Member support platform
UOTM News — weekly internal email newsletter
UOTM Life — Team Member social media presence
This concept focused on creating stronger visual consistency across platforms by adapting existing Universal Orlando branding elements into a unified internal communications system. The updated identity incorporated typography, color palettes, and styling inspired by established Universal Orlando marketing standards while modernizing the overall presentation and user experience.

The Brand
To align the UOTM communication platforms more closely with the overall Universal Orlando brand identity, each platform received an updated logo and visual system inspired by existing Universal Orlando marketing standards.
The concept incorporated contrasting light and bold typography treatments, utilizing Montserrat to reflect the brand’s established visual language. Web colors, typography, and interface styling were also adapted to create a more cohesive and recognizable internal brand experience.
UOTeam
UOTeam, the Team Member resources platform, was redesigned to align more closely with the structure and visual identity of the official Universal Orlando website. The concept focused on improving consistency, navigation, and overall brand cohesion across the internal employee experience.
AskHR
AskHR received a similar redesign treatment, extending the same visual system and web standards established for UOTeam to create a more unified internal support experience.
UOTMNews
The weekly UOTM News email newsletter was redesigned to visually complement the updated UOTeam and AskHR platforms, helping establish a connected family of internal communication touchpoints.
UOTM Life
UOTM Life, the official Team Member Instagram account, was reimagined with updated profile branding, redesigned story highlights, and a more structured social content strategy.
The proposed feed direction combined Team Member-submitted photography with branded #UOFistBump recognition graphics celebrating positive guest feedback and employee achievements.
UOTM Swag
As an extension of the internal communications rebrand, I also explored promotional merchandise concepts inspired by the existing Universal Orlando Annual Passholder (UOAP) magnet series.
The proposed UOTM magnet designs adapted the recognizable UOAP visual style into a Team Member-focused identity, incorporating bold stacked typography and the Universal Orlando globe mark to create a cohesive connection between the guest and employee brand experiences.
