Universal Orlando Team Member Communications

Since February 2020, I have been a part-time Attractions Team Member at the Universal Orlando Resort. During this time, my interaction with the internal Team Member communication platforms has sparked a multitude of creative ideas within me, as I'm constantly looking for ways to improve brand aesthetics and reinforce consistency.
As a personal challenge, I decided to rebrand the internal Universal Orlando Team Member (UOTM) communication platforms, extending the existing customer-facing Universal Orlando brand to the Team Member-facing side of communications. This included the rebrand of:
UOTeam – the UOTM resources website
AskHR – the UOTM support website
UOTM News – the weekly UOTM email newsletter
UOTM Life – the official UOTM Instagram account

The Brand
To bring the UOTM communication platforms in line with the overall Universal Orlando brand, each of them received new logos based on existing type treatment found in Universal Orlando advertising. This included contrasting extra light/bold type, using Montserrat to mimic the standard print font. The web colors and fonts were then brought forth to mirror the Universal Orlando web standards.
UOTeam
UOTeam, the UOTM resources website, was completely redesigned to mirror the structure of the official Universal Orlando website, with all content reorganized and retrofitted to the established brand standards.
AskHR
AskHR, the UOTM support website, received a similar treatment to UOTeam in order to bring the web structure in line with the official Universal Orlando website.
UOTMNews
UOTMNews, the weekly UOTM email newsletter, was redesigned to compliment the UOTeam and AskHR websites and create a family of internal communications.
UOTM Life
UOTM Life, the official UOTM Instagram account, was given a new profile picture, a fresh bio, redesigned story covers, and a strategic feed theme. This theme features half Team Member-provided images, half #UOFistBump graphics that recognize Team Members who received positive feedback from guests. For this theme, a series of four #UOFistBump graphics were designed.
UOTM Swag
In addition to the redesigned communication platforms, I decided to create new UOTM magnets that compliment the existing Universal Orlando Annual Passholder (UOAP) magnets. These magnets feature the stacked bold "UOTM" letters with the current Universal Orlando logo acting as the inside circle of the "O", mirroring the UOAP type treatment.
